PatriciaTAYLORpassed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, September 25th. A loving mother to Dawn, grandmother to Daniel, Emily and Bliss, and great-granny to Nancy. She was also aunty Pat, nana Pat, and Mrs Taylor to scores of children and members of the communities whom she served, and will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Never one to shy away, she continued to work right up until the day before her death with the children of Shuttleworth College, where she ran the whole school Nurture Provision. She was loved and respected by her colleagues, many of whom she counted as close friends. She will be remembered as being a strong, caring woman, with a wicked sense of humour, an unshakeable belief in the goodness of people, and shining optimism even in the hardest of times. She will be dearly missed and leaves behind a legacy of hope for the future for all those who she loved, worked with and helped throughout her remarkable life. Patricia’s funeral service will be held at St John’s Church, Read on Friday, October 15th at 2.45pm, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium at 3.40pm. Family flowers only please; donations are being gratefully received on behalf of Brighter Lives Northwest. Please feel free to wear a touch of orange. Funeral director: Champ Funeral Services, Clayton-le-Moors.
