The obituary notice of Pamela TAYLOR-HANSON

She is a valiant daughter of God. As a relief society president she took upon herself to visit all the sisters who were inactive. As her counsellor, I watch her prayed and ministered to all the sisters equally. Ministering was her middle name, no doubt about it. My last conversation with her, was about how she was ministering to the people in her village. She will be greatly missed especially for her spiritual insights and wisdom in church history, family history and Judiasm in our branch. She inspired me to read both Saints 1 & 2, and she will forever be a great example to all of us. She encouraged me to be musical and creative. She taught me not to drink 'hot drinks' but to allow the herb tea to cool down first (Yes I will always remember that). We enjoyed buying in bulk and stocked up our food storage. We kept updated with each other on health issues as well as spirituality.

You have done it, your work is done. Please say hi to our sisters at the other side. I am sure you will be busy.

Pam has been a big part of Barnsley Branch and a big part of many lives. She leaves a space not easily filled as the details were all hers.
I remember first meeting Pam and Roy as they stepped into Barnsley Chapel, before they joined us full time, and being the one to guide them around the Chapel and to respective classes.
I remember going visiting teaching either Pam when paired with her. I remember with much fondness how she and Roy came to Join us as we were sealed at the temple.
Pam truely was an elect lady and will be missed by many but also remembered with much love for her kindness, her wisdom and her sense of fun.

Writing a tribute has been really difficult to say the least, it’s hard to find the right words to honour you, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet. I’m really sad you’re gone, my love and prayers go to your family and friends. I’m so grateful for the life you have lived and the choices you’ve made. May you be surrounded by love and peace. J x
