Dear Ben, I hope you now know how truly cherished you were. Although you faced some challenging times in life, you gave hope and strength to so many others facing their own challenges. As you always said: when things are tough, a stiff G&T, friends, and belief in your own strength will see you through. You certainly had belief when you decided to take on your first marathon. I'm sure I wasn't the only one to think what on earth were you thinking! But you smashed it, and not just the once.

Reading your family's tributes has reminded me of your trip to India in 2016. Your journey to find the missing puzzle pieces of your early life. And what a journey! I hope your journal of that time has been found and is being cherished by your family. It was raw. It was real. It gave you some answers.

Ben, you really were a gift from God, and although it's hard for those left behind to understand your untimely passing, He decided it was time for you to return home.

I will cherish the memories, the deep and meaningful conversations we had, and the gift God gave you through voice.

Rest in peace, Ben V Thapa 🕊️❤️
