Dear Family, pls accept My Heartfelt condoloences in the passing away of Sri,My classmate and my very good friend. My name is Rajan Atputharajah,and I am called by my nick name "Jinks". Sri and I joined STC in 1960(Grade 2). I lived down 59 Moor Road Wellawatte and Sri lived down No.6 (Shiridi) Pereira Lane Wellawatte.We used to visit each other and my Mum and Sri's Mum were friends as well. In 1970 I shifted to Mount Lavinia and Sri used to come to Mount and we used to go for movies to-gether sometimes with the Late Arulsakaran. Sri used to organise a jeep for the Royal-Thomian old crocks rally and parading the streets of Colombo.I was one of them in the jeep.Sri was a very jovial,happy and full of fun.I live in Sydney Australia and when I came for my nephews wedding in Hertfordshire in UK,Sri visited me,this was about 4 years ago.In fact one morning,maybe in 1973,Sri and I went for a movie and come evening,he was flying into UK! He did not have a clue that he was flying that evening! We enjoyed great times to-gether,confided in each other and was a great friend of mine.I could not catch up with Sri on the last get to-gether last year in SL. This has been a shock for me and I cannot believe that he has been snatched away without any prior warnings. To Inthu the daughters and grand children this would be a shock,but his legacy lives on. I remember Sri as very humble, kind and genuine person. I enjoyed the fun and laughs we shared.

You have left us much too early. I will miss you badly. Rest in peace my friend.
