ShirleyTHOMASNee Jones On 17th June 2020, at Hengoed Park Care Home, our wonderful Shirl Girl left this life to be reunited with her beloved Billy. She was the star of our show, the jewel of our family, the heartbeat in our lives. Her children, Sue, Steve and Liane adored her, she was a loving mother-in-law to Stephen Hollis, Jane and Darren. A fun, devoted and much loved mamma to: Carrie, Lauren, Richard, Andrew, Molly, Billy and Eliza and to her great-grandchildren: Bertie, Ted, Mae, Belle and Elis. A supportive and caring sister to Hilary, Gaynor and the late Janice and fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. What a lady. We will miss her forever. Due to the current restrictions, a private funeral will be held on Thursday, 2nd July 2020, at Graham J. Sullivan Chapel at Rest. Family flowers only, but donations, if desired, directly to Dementia UK please. Our huge thanks to the staff at Hengoed Care, especially Units C and H - your support and love for Shirl Girl meant the world.
