James Alfred,THOMPSON(Sunnybrow, late of East Stanley, Co Durham) James Alfred aged 72 years died peacefully at Bishopgate Lodge on September 24th following a long illness, bravely fought. Beloved husband to Elizabeth, wonderful dad of Christopher and Vicky, adored grandad to Ruby and Josie, much loved twin brother of Ron, brother of Grace and Brian, a dear brother-in-law to Karen, Joyce and the late Bill. Also a much loved uncle to all his nephews, nieces, their partners and children. Legendary Baritone player for Craghead Colliery / Ever Ready / Reg Vardy bands for over 50 years. Friends and family please meet for service at Willington Methodist Church on Friday October 4th at 12.30pm followed by cremation at Wear Valley Crematorium at 1.30pm. All Welcome after service for refreshments in the Church Hall. Family flowers only, donations in memory of James can be left in Church for Bishopgate Lodge.
