Poem chosen by Mum:
REMEMBER ME by Anthony Dowson
Talk to me like you always have,
Remember the good times, the laughs
and the fun.
Share the happy memories we've created,
don't let them wither or fade.
I will be with you in the summer sun and when the cold of winter comes.
I'll be the voice whispering in the breeze,
I'm at peace now, put your mind at ease.
I rested my eyes now and went to sleep, but the memories we shared are yours to keep.
Sometimes our last days can be a test, but remember me when I was at my best.
While things may not be the same,
don't be afraid to use my name.
Let your pain only last for a while,
comfort each other and try to smile.
I have lived a life full of joy and fun,
live on now,
make me proud of who you will become.
