JohnTHOMPSONIt is with great sadness, we announce that John passed away peacefully at home on
Tuesday 26th September aged 83 years.

Dearly beloved husband of the late Barbara. Cherished dad of Penny and Gary, father-in-law of Sharon. Devoted Gramps of Daniel, Simon, Matthew, Thomas, Emily, Kate, Jasmine, Brad, Bella and Millie. A great friend to many over the years.

Our memories will stay in our hearts forever x
A celebration of John's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on
Tuesday 24th October 2023 at 12.45pm.

John is now resting at Mashfords Funeral Home Cleethorpes where floral tributes may be sent.

Gramps, tomorrow we bid you a final farewell. Always happy, always smiling, always fun, always our Gramps! You never ever had a bad day! You have taught me so many things in life, from my first shave (and probably my only one), how to play hide and seek for hours and never be found! You rescued me from ‘Quicksand’ at Cleethorpes, picked me up after my tree fall and have always made me laugh, smile and enjoy life to the full. My best memory was spending a week with you and Nanna on the Isle of Wight. It took us days to get there in that little Corsa but we made it! I won’t miss the comments on my weight, or never catching your hand! We will miss you, so tomorrow I will only have one thing to say to you.. 😛

🥲 What a great guy you were john! Always a good friend and companion for my nanna Joyce. Enjoyed our conversations and your stories when I used to go round and see her and you were there…RIP!

John was our next door neighbour for 26 and a half years, he was always there if help was needed. John will be sadly missed.
