JackTHOMSONChristine, Scott and Lisa would like to thank family, friends, neighbours and Jack's colleagues at Eon New Build and Technology for all the lovely cards, letters and flowers following the loss of our dear husband and dad, Jack. Thank you too, to Jack's colleagues at Ratcliffe who flew the Scottish Saltire at half-mast and held a minute's silence in his memory. Sincere thanks to our closest and dearest friends who have been a constant support throughout Jack's illness helping us to get through each day. Special thanks too, to the Cancer Care Team at the City Hospital; Surgeons Mr Catton and Mr Parsons, Oncologist Dr Madhusudan, his assistant Jason, Cathy van Baalen and all the nursing staff who took such good care of Jack. We also wish to thank our own wonderful doctors and nurses in Keyworth; Dr Hamilton, Dr Small, Macmillan Nurse Fran and District Nurse Liz whose care and dedication, kindness and support for Jack will stay with us forever. We are also very grateful to the amazing staff in Hayward House, again for the wonderful care they gave Jack in his final days. Jack had the best of care; this was the NHS at its best and we cannot praise them highly enough. Thank you also to Tim, David and Carolyn at Lymns Funeral Directors for their sensitivity and thoughtfulness, especially in finding Church of Scotland Minister, Rev. Ian Wiseman to conduct the service at Wilford Hill, it was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thanks to Ian too for such a lovely service. Thanks to all who came to Jack's funeral and for all the donations that day, which came to £800. Another £200 was collected from family and friends at the small private graveside service in Scotland and this money will be shared between Hayward House and the Macmillan Nurses, so thank you all so much for your generosity. Last but not least, very special thanks to our nearest and dearest neighbours for all their help and amazing support during the past dreadful 20 months; Mac and Pat, Rob and Jane, Linda and Stuart, who have helped with hospital visits, gardening, mowing every week, trimming trees, decorating, shopping and even taking the bins out... we are truly thankful to have such lovely people around us. Bless you all. With love and thanks from the Thomsons.
