How very sad, only just noticed this. I had seen that his lovely wife Lorna had passed away just a few years before. Derek was a lovely man and a wonderful father to both Lynda and Susan and so proud of both of them. Of that, I am sure. They were a very nice family all round and it was a pleasure for me to have known them all, some forty years ago. Doesn't time pass so quickly. Though we have not been in contact since 1979, I still retain fond memories of all the family. My thoughts are with the family, especially Derek's daughters. I was in Brighouse only recently, and the visit as always brought back so many happy memories.
