Elizabeth (Betty)THORNTON(née Horne) It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Elizabeth (Betty) Thornton who passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday 20th May. Betty was a beloved wife of the late Robert, much loved mum to George and Robert and cherished nana to her 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Betty was a dear sister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, aunt, cousin and treasured friend to many. She will be sorely missed.
A service to celebrate Betty's life will take place on Tuesday 2nd June, 11:30am at Stirlingshire Crematorium, Falkirk Road, Bannockburn, Stirling, FK7 8AJ, to which all family and friends are respectfully invited.
Family flowers only please, but donations if desired, will be gratefully received for Strathcarron Hospice.
