I can remember my mum talking about Alan when he first met Joy saying what a happy, outgoing person he was. I have known Joy's family all my life growing up in Cheddleton and know they recently had a tragic loss and my heart goes out to them at this very sad time. Thinking of you all. Maureen Eyre (Connor)

Alan a legend of a man whose family were his life and greatest love. Such a down to earth funny man, you couldn't be in his company long without laughing and he made a cracking full English. He will be so missed by so many. With all our love, John and Kathryn McGlade ❤️ xx
