Val, what do I say? I think it’s all been said. I was lucky enough to call you a friend. Nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon teas were amazing, you knew how to put a spread on!
I was lucky enough to be trusted with your lemon drizzle and flapjacks, I was always your chief giver outer!
Thank you for being you.
You truly were remarkable.

Love and thoughts to your family.

Val, it was a pleasure and an honour to know you. You were a lady in every true sense of the word. Every Monday and Friday I would look forward to seeing you and loved our chats and the laughs we had, especially sharing stories of the cats. Thank you so much for being a part of our knitting group. You were so loved by your Fazakerley family and will be greatly missed.
Our loss is heavens gain.
Rest in Peace Val

Dear Mrs T,
Our first conversation was at Fazakerley Primary, where we agreed was one of our favourite places to be! I remember we talked about the orchids I grow and you asked to see some photographs and that was how our friendship began. I was delighted to find someone who could talk with me about all things plants and gardening related. From there we talked about our family life and we shared our stories of being Mother's to boys and our love for teaching over a slice of your legendary lemon drizzle!
Your listening ear and encouragement meant so much to me. I will accomplish those plans we talked about. I just wish you could be here to celebrate with me, when I do.
I will cherish the plants you grew for me from seed. They sit proudly next to my pond and I shall think about all our lovely chats when I tend to them.
The last day I saw you, I sat next to you whilst you played 12 Days of Christmas on the piano for our Fazakerley children. I recall the elegance of your fingers lightly moving from key to key and your smile which could light up a room!
"There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have left... the light remains."
I will miss you, dear Mrs T and until we meet again (for a slice of cake and a catch up) I will forever hold fond memories of you in my heart

I am very saddened to lose my lovely friend and neighbour. In fact, she was more than that to me - she was my second mum! For over twenty- three years, Val has been there for me, through thick and thin. My children, Jess and Jack, also loved her (and her cats) especially Jodie, who was a real character.
Recently, I enjoyed our weekly visits, with a cheeky, mini bottle of Prosecco, which we would drink, while chatting, telling stories and laughing.

I find it difficult to process the awful fact that Val has gone. But I want to celebrate her full life: she was a very important, member of the community. She listened to me, gave sound advice, and shared her passion for gardening; she gave freely of her time to the children in school and was committed to her family and to her church.

What a lady! I hope I can achieve as much in my lifetime.
God Bless you, Val

Throughout my entire school years Mrs Tittershill was by far my favourite teacher. All my happiest memories at Fazakerley junior school involve Mrs Tittershill. I was fortunate enough to be in Mrs T’s year 4 class.

RIP

Mrs T was such an inspiring teacher. My memories of Formosa junior school ‘84-‘88 are centred around playing the recorder, singing in the choir and having Mrs T on the piano. I absolutely idolised her during my time there. My deepest condolences to her family, friends and Formosa school family xx
