Hard to believe you are gone Deb. You was a good friend, great mum and you have never been forgotten. Requiescat in pace.

I still think of you everyday. You made a big impact in my life. My best friend, my confidante. I miss our dancing/drinking/shopping/theatre buddy… you name it, we did it. You were taken from us much too soon and have left a big hole in my heart. I will always be grateful for the time we spent together xxxxx

I worked alongside Debra for over 10 years and as colleagues we fell out almost every week and fought on a regular basis. But that was just work. As a human being I always respected her. She was forthright and honest and she had no pretences. What you saw was always her authentic self.

Debra had the strength of spirit to call me with her terrible news shortly before she passed and what struck me was her courage in facing her diagnoses and the dignity with which she met her last days. Her final words to me were that if we had known each other better outside of work we would no doubt have been firm friends.
I would have been honoured and privileged by that.
God bless you and keep you Debs.

Hey Debra, it was always a pleasure to work with you. Yes, you are a tough cookie, but always respectful and supportive. I still did not delete our Thursday morning call in my calendar – just in case. I miss you.

Debra was a wonderful, caring bubbly person. A great boss would always take time to ensure you understood what you needed to do. She has left a big hole in all our hearts.
