I've known Brian since I was a little girl in the 60s. He worked with my late mum Myra Thornton. He became a very special friend to my family. We knew him as Big Brian as my little brother is also called Brian. He was so special to me , he sat in place of my mother at the reception of my marriage.
A wonderful human being ,who was an amazing friend to my family. Thank you Brian, I shall treasure your memory xxx

I got to know Brian through working alongside him in the Weighing Room at a number of racecourses in the north. Very conscientious and dedicated to his work. Always friendly and helpful.
RIP Brian.
