Dr Peter JohnTREADWELLPassed away suddenly at home on 1st January 2023, aged 71 years. Devoted husband to Jan, loving and proud father to Kelly and Rebecca, wonderful father-in-law to Gethyn and Hywel and adoring Grandad to Isobel, Grace, Sophia and Harriet. Peter will be greatly missed by all of his loving family, many friends and colleagues. The funeral service will be held on Friday 10th February 2023 at All Saints Church, Park Road, Barry at 11:45am, followed by the committal at Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium at 1:00pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, will be collected at the service in aid of SportsAid Cymru Wales and the Welsh Ambulance Service. All are welcome afterwards at Cottrell Park Golf Resort, St Nicholas, CF5 6SJ.

It is with great sadness that I find out only now about the sudden passing of Peter Treadwell. Peter was one of the lecturers & course leader for the M.A. in Sport & Recreation in the early 90s. He was truly a remarkable & inspirational person & lecturer. I extend my deepest sympathy to his wife Jan, his children & all his extended family. I feel so honored to have known Peter. He was truly an inspiration to all of us that year. He epitomized 'excellence' in education.
