BridgetTRICKETTof Haslingden Hall and Lodge Care Home, Helmshore, passed away at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Monday, November 18, aged 93. Linda lived in Bacup and Stacksteads all of her life until moving to Haslingden Hall and Lodge Residential Care Home in January 2013. She was married to her late husband, Herbert, who sadly passed away in January 1985. In her younger years she worked at Maideese in Bacup and also Bacup Shoe. She regularly attended St Mary's RC Church, Bacup, before walking got too difficult for her. Born on July 27, 1926 to mother Lily and father Michael Ruane, she had four brothers and two sisters and was the last survivor of all of them. She leaves two children, daughter Linda and son David, six grandchildren, Sharon, Garry, Lee, Andrew, Claire and Lauren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren. A Requiem Mass service was held at St Anselms RC Church, Whitworth, on Thursday, November 28, at 10.30am, led by Fr Christopher McGrane, followed by burial at Bacup Cemetery at 11.30am.
