Terrence JamesTRINGJim Tring of Acorn House Care Home and previously of Sherwood, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a decline in his dementia on Friday, 28th January 2022 aged 85. He is survived by his Daughter Susan, Son David, Brother in law Robin, Son in law Tony, Daughter in law Blanche, Grandchildren Sam and Jen and Grandson in law Jonny plus Nephews Jonathan and Nick who will all miss him more than any words can say. He will be remembered fondly by many in the Sherwood area where he dedicated his life to not only raising his family and working at Boots, but also spent most of his life working as a volunteer for several charities including Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Sherwood Community Centre, Neighbourhood Watch plus supporting his late wife Pamela look after many hundreds of Brownies. Jim was also a Cub Scout and Venture Scout leader along with Tony's dad, Mick Smithson. Out of an abundance of caution, a private ceremony will be held on Thursday 3rd of March at 10.00am.
