Remember the day Jack and Jean got married . The wedding cars left Jeans family home in Dalton avenue. I would have been about 10yrs old then mid 1950s if i have it rightmy parents lived opposite in albion terrace.
Jack became the best colliery manager of Ellington colliery demanding but good natured with it,caught up with a few times at Bacm meetings held at Ellington Colliery.
I worked at ashington area workshops.
RIP Jack
