I love you Grandad, and I know you were comfortable and reassured with the support you received from Douglas MacMillan. I donate this money as you would have liked me to, in order to support those on the same journey we faced as a family. I love you lots Grandad xxx

To my Grandad George, I feel a loss in my heart with your loss. I feel so empty and broken. I love you so so much and that will never change. I’m so grateful to have spent over twenty-two years with you, and to have been by your side to the end, just as you were by mine from the beginning. I miss you immensely, and I don’t think that will ever change. To see your empty chair is like a blow to my heart. My brain cannot understand that you are no longer here. I promise to never let go of the many memories you have gifted me with over the years. I will pass down your cheeky antics through our family for years to come. I love you so so much Grandad. Good night, God bless xxx
