Sidney Edwin (Sid)TURNERSuddenly after a long illness in Diana Princess of Wales Hospital on 31st July 2011, Sid aged 83 years. Beloved husband of the late Joyce, loving father of Wendy, Elaine and the late Jill and Robin, dear father-in-law to Gerald, Tony and Sue, proud grandad to Sarah, Vanessa, Sean, Paul, Heather, David, Claire, Denise and Andrew, loving great-grandad to William, Oliver, Ellis and Hollie. Sid will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Friday 12th August 2011 at 10.20am. Family flowers only please but a donation in lieu can be sent to St Andrew's Hospice c/o The Treasurer, Peaks Lane, Grimsby, DN32 9RP. Sid is now resting peacefully at Steven Near Funeral Directors, 36 Wellowgate, Grimsby.

It is sad to say that yet another year has come and gone since our last tribute but despite the rest of past 13 years slipping by Sid’s loss is still in our thoughts which is comforting.

Another two years have slipped by since our last tribute, and although they say time is a great healer the loss never seems to diminish. We continue to miss Sid which in a way is good because it means he will never be forgotten.
