Ethel LilianTURNERBorn on the 27th December 1929, a proud brummie, she sadly passed away on the 3rd April this year aged 96.
She will be greatly missed by her six children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Her life was one of caring for other people and through her work and community activity she touched many lives. After raising a family, she trained as a nursery nurse working at Tindal School in Balsall Heath, Newtown Day Nursery and at MAC. Her love of working in the community took her to Erdington's Spade, Hammer and Pen where she also made many friends. After retirement she and her late husband Bill ran afternoon tea Dances and started the Friendly Faces Holiday Club, which she continued to run after his death, and there she also made many new friends.
Her funeral will take place at Yardley Crematorium on Thursday 7th May at 12.15, it will also be streamed live.
