We only met a couple of times, Alan, but those brief encounters left a lasting impression. The legacy you built and so carefully nurtured for decades, continues today—steady and recognisable, a tribute to your dedication. I’m merely its current custodian, doing my best to keep it on course. But every time I open the laptop, every time I lay out another cover, every time I contribute to the remarkable Lincolnshire & East Yorkshire Transport Review that you and Peter began over sixty years ago, I’m reminded of your vision. Your name appears on every issue, not out of sentiment but because it belongs there. Writ large and rightly so. Rest in peace. God bless.
