EdnaUPTONIt is with much sadness that Derek, Phil, Yvonne and Bev announce the death of their much loved Mum and Mother in law Edna Upton, and much loved Grannie and Grandma.
Edna had lived in The Leasowe, Lichfield from 1961 until 2020, with husband Wally and three sons, Derek, Tony and Phil.
Edna had been an Avon Lady in the Leasowe area for many years and later worked in both the “Bacon and Cheese” shop in Levetts Field, the Precinct and “The Three Cooks” in the Precinct.
Edna had attended Trish’s keep fit classes at what is now the Life Church at Netherstowe, for over 20 years.
Sadly, Edna had developed dementia in recent years, resulting in her move to King’s Bromley Care Home, in 2020. She died on Tuesday 17th October, aged 91.
Edna's funeral service will be held on Friday 17th November 2023 at 10:30am at Lichfield & District Crematorium, Fradley. Light refreshments will be provided afterwards at Darnford Moors Golf Club.
