Happy birthday, dad. Time moves on so quickly without you here, it almost doesn’t seem like it’s been a year, let alone three. I hope you like your new headstone, it looks the part. Chris and I are taking care of mum, so you don’t need to worry about a thing. Manchester City have started the season well, with two wins from two games. Erling hit another hat-trick yesterday in the 4-1 win over Ipswich. I bet you enjoyed that game. It will be the start of the Champions League soon. I hope you are looking forward to that and that you’re enjoying the Premier League games so far. We love you very much, all our love, Darren, Chris, Susan, Molly & Perran x

Merry Christmas, dad. It was nice to see you yesterday and play you one of your favourite Christmas songs, “I wish it could be Christmas Everyday” by Wizzard. We all miss you a lot and it’s really not the same without you around. You made our Christmases so special. I can vividly remember you playing songs all around the house, in the garage and in the car too. You loved putting up the decorations and making the house look amazing with the lights in the window. I won’t ever forget those happy times. Love you dad x

It’s been a whole two years since we said our final goodbye. I miss you each day and my memories of you grow stronger each day. Over time, I have slowly realised what it is like without you here and it hasn’t got any easier. I just wish I could walk in and see you sat in your chair, watching the football. Sleep well dad and know that we all love you very much x

They did it! Manchester City have won you the Champions League. I know you will be so proud and so happy. I watched the game and thought of us watching it together. Two years ago I remember we watched the final against Chelsea. I wish you could be here tonight so I could hug you. City have won the treble for you and I know you’ll be smiling down on them.
