Shocked and saddened. It was a pleasure always to stop and chat with Alan when he was out walking Lucy.
My condolences to Linda and the family.

I knew Alan from his days working at Newcastle Airport. In later years we met up again though parish council business and as members of the standards committee at County Hall. That was Alan always setting a high standard. Sadly missed. Cllr Alex Wallace.

It is hard to believe that the lovely Alan is no longer with us. A true Gent who I had the pleasure of working with at Ponteland Town Council. Alan you always made me laugh in the Planning meetings and were a pleasure to be around, we had some giggles at the beer festivals. I know I will miss you. Sending love to your family, Caroline x
