DavidVARNEYOn 19th September 2023. Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home. Chef and owner at The Village Bistro, Penmaenmawr. David will be deeply missed by Diane, David and all his family.

Funeral service takes place on Monday 9th October 2023 at Bangor Crematorium at 2:30pm. All are welcome to give their support to Diane and pay their last respects to David.

So sorry to hear such sad news was a big shock to all the shopkeepers of Penmaenmawr, Such a talented Chef had a few lovely meals in the bistro always amazing. we used to live near their grandson and would see David and Diane Collect him and then Dylan giving us an update on his time Kayaking or whatever he had been doing that day. Our Hearts go out to each of his family and of Course to Diane who has lost her beloved husband.

Dear Diane,
Everyone at Paysanne is so upset to hear about Dave. He was such a huge part of our story. Some of the food he was serving back then was frankly miraculous. More than that he was an unflappable, dedicated master of his kitchen, and had a fantastic dry sense of humour - Dad's been dining out on some of his one-liners for decades. Our thoughts are very much with you and David Jr. You have our very deepest sympathies.

We are so sorry to hear this sad news. We loved visiting you at the bistro, David was a fabulous chef. We would often stop to chat when walking the dogs and David was always so laid back and kind. If there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask Diane. We are thinking of you and send our love.
