What can I say that hasn't been said already. We had some great times in both the band and at football. I'm sad to think we'll never get the chance to play one more time but I know you'll be cheering someone up wherever you are, with your taste in fashion you were always good for a laugh! Rock in Peace my friend!

Cousin Nick - my earliest memory is of a gorgeous little blonde boy in Grandma's house in Markfield road with a wickedly cheeky grin who always wanted to be picked up! Mainly so he could play a trick of some sort! My most recent memory is of the only man in the world who get me up to do Karaoke. As I am virtually physically allergic to it, the fact he had him, me & Birdy up at Jane's wedding singing our hearts out to some awful power ballad says a lot about his powers of persuasion! Like Lynne, I never knew of the difficulties you faced. Although we didn't see each other much I thought of you often. And told everyone about my cousin who looked like Richard Gere! I will miss you. I hope now you are truly at peace. All love always

I just remember the great times we had in the band (and there were lots). How you, me, Dan, Karl and Did formed a special friendship which lasts forever and outlives our time in the band. You were temperamental (typical singer) but were also very creative and funny. I always enjoyed our arguments over Everton and Liverpool. It makes me really sad to think that you're gone and we won't get the chance to play one last song together. Rest in peace my friend.

Our cousin Nicky - we have so many memories and not enough space. One of my earliest memories has to be in grandma's house in Markfield Road, in the play room with all of the cousins practising a play which we were putting on for grandma, grandad, all the aunties and uncles. Joanne was the director (of course) and you were causing her untold grief (some things never changed). i can also remember a few years ago, you and the band were playing in the North Park and Grandma was in the front row head banging to your music, she was so very proud of you. One of my most recent memories was your wedding and i thought how happy and proud you were. one thing i will always remember Nicky is how much you loved your family and especially your children. We did not truly know about your pain and suffering at the end Nicky but know you are now at peace. You will always be remembered by all that new and loved you. Rest in peace Nicky xxxxxx

To my cousin Nicky - I have so many good memories of you it is impossible to know where to start. For as long as I can remember back to all of the family 'get togethers' you were there - Christmas at Grandma's, Bonfire Night at your mums, going to see you in your band (that must be where Olivia gets her 'rock chick' from - she LOVES AC-DC!!). What a change when you became a dad - remember telling me off cos I got the words wrong to PC Plum's song from Balamory?! Family do's won't be the same without you - I will miss you. Sleep tight Nicky xx

Where do I start? We met back in college in 1990 when we were looking for a singer for the band. You looked every inch the rock star and me and Karl thought 'He's the one for us'. Back then it was me, Karl, H, Eric and you, when we played our first gig in "The Richies". Then later on we had Robbie and then finally Did. It was the final line-up that we won the 'Battle of the Bands' with back in 1993, that all seems like yesterday. We had some great times playing up and down the country and also some great laughs at the band practise rooms. Do you remember when we had the 'Band Boxing Competition' and you knocked 'The Stoopman' out, or the time we painted "The Beast" in black Hammerite! I also remember how proud you were when Zach was born way back then, and more recently when Faith and Daniel were born. I think the last time I saw you was on your wedding day and you looked great, really happy. For me though, I will always remember you as the long haired, heavy metal singer who was the vocalist for Contempt. Rest in piece my friend, but keep on rocking! Love you mate.

Nicky, nobody scared as easily as you, who can I scare now? We had a lot of laughs over the years didn't we? Remember when I tricked you into letting me cut your hair shorter than mine? Jumping out through the front door and slipping over on the ice? Stepping off the kerb and trying to hide it - I always caught you. Seeing Kevin Keegan outside Anfield - you were so excited. That morning when you woke me up to tell me you'd burned a hole in the couch because you had been smoking and Mum and Dad didn't know. Maybe you got the last laugh when I was in the funeral home with you and I couldn't put your photo of the kids in your pocket cos I was scared you would wake up! Who will want to watch 'You've been framed' with me now? Richard Gere, the photo of you in curlers ironing your trousers, walking round the shops with you checking yourself out in the shop windows, waking up really early on Christmas morning (even as an adult), doing the karaoke in the Nethy, mummy's little soldier... Night night Nicky, sleep peacefully, Joanne x
