Sylvia MayVELLASylvia was born as Sylvia May Fagg on 29 September 1937 in Southall near London. After leaving school, Sylvia worked for a while in a canning factory but joined the air force when she was 18 or 19. In the RAF she became a parachute packer. Sylvia first met Victor when he was posted to RAF Bicester in Oxfordshire. The couple were subsequently married in Kirkham in 1957. Although Sylvia had to leave the service on getting married, the couple were then posted to Cyprus. Sylvia and her husband Victor moved to Lincolnshire in 1960s with their two sons Victor jr and Anthony. They moved to Heighington in 1970. Sylvia also worked for Clintons in Lincoln, She was a keen gardener and a member of a craft club which met every Monday. Sylvia passed away on Thursday 6th January 2022 whilst at Lincoln County Hospital, leaving behind her loving Husband, two Sons,, four Grandchildren, three Step Grandchildren & two Great Grandchildren and many loving family & friends. Sylvia's funeral will be on Thursday 27th January at 11am at St John the Evangelist, Washingborough.
