NormanVICKERSRemembering Norman Vickers: A Life of Love, kindness and Legacy.

On the 6th of May, we bid farewell to a beloved member of the Family, Norman Vickers, who passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in the comfort of his home. Norman was known for his gentle spirit, unwavering love, and profound impact on those around him.

Norman's life was intertwined with that of his beloved late wife, Norma, and together they shared a lifetime of cherished memories. He was the adored father of Debbie, Allison, and Julie, and a cherished father-in-law to Jeremy and Simon. Norman's legacy extended further as a caring grandfather to Jack, Daniel, Joe, Jessica, and Amy, and as a great-grandfather to James.

A service to celebrate Norman's life will be held at St Francis Church in Acklam on Friday, the 24th of May, starting at 1:15 pm, followed by cremation at Teesside Crematorium, Chapel of St. Bedes, at 2 pm. Family and friends are kindly invited to gather at the church to pay their respects and honour Norman's memory.

In the words of his family,

"Today we begin the first day of the rest of our life, without you. Until we meet again your loving bairns."

Norman's presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Norman Vickers was not just a father, grandfather, or great-grandfather; he was a beacon of light with a heart of gold. His unwavering support and guidance touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

As Norman is laid to rest, he is reunited with his beloved wife, Norma, in eternal peace.

I've just found out Norman had died...I hadn't seen Norman in years, he was my Nana Kath's "boyfriend" haha. He was like a Grandad to me when I was a kid and a teenager. Me, him and my Nana Kath often watched Star Trek and Doctor Who and enjoyed each other's company.

Norman was a good man. Sleep well, my friend.
