VICKY HARRISONIn memory of Vicky Harrison from Darwen, Lancashire who took her own life on 31 March, 2010, aged 21.
Her family said the bright youngster had become depressed after not being able to find job, despite having three A-levels and ten GCSEs and making more than 200 job applications.
Her mother Louise said: “Vicky was a wonderful daughter and to say her death was a shock is an understatement. We are struggling to come to terms with it. Vicky is and always was special.”
Father Tony said: “She had a lot to give and was very determined. She was just ground down following one knock back after another.”
“She was such a gorgeous girl and had a stunning smile. She was clever, too. There was no reason why she shouldn't have been able to find a job.”
Her boyfriend of three-and-a-half years, Nathan, said: “I have lost my soulmate. I still can't believe she has gone.”

Im 22, i had a stroke at 21 had to pull out of university. I reapplied twice to re-enter an restart the course. No luck. I have applied for EVERY job out there, from secretary, trainees, cleaning, mcdonalds, petrol stations and even volunteering. No one wants me! As i thought being depressed about not getting a job was a silly thing no one would help and i couldnt talk about, so last week i decided to try to overdose. Luckily i was taken to hospital and here to live another day. My family have been amazing better than i thought is actually possible im sure if Vicky would have been as lucky and had not been 'successful' Im sure her family would be the same. Its such a tragic loss

A last goodbye we did not say,In our hearts you will always stay.
A thousand words won’t bring you back, I know because I’ve tried,
Neither will a million tears, I know because I’ve cried.
They say memories are to treasure, to some that may be true.we never wanted memories, we only wanted you. You are the love of Nathan's life, a love that will last forever. We will never forget you Vicky my daughter - in - law forever.
R.I.P Vicky all my love Susan ( mother - in - law )

I really sorry for this family, sometimes life take a direction with no sense...
It makes me think about how hard was to this beautifull and brightfull girl, to fight against this kind of situation, and just give us a lesson about how dangerous is the way we are crossing thru, taking this kind of risk... to lose someone so close and loved.

From Brazil I´m sending my condolences and solidarity to the family and for all who loved her once.

I was so moved by this story I felt the need to leave a post. Tragedies like this should not happen and there is no support structure for depression in this country. I urge everyone here to donate to a cause that helps depression in young people in order to prevent this happening again.

This is a terrible story and one I hope to never have to read again.

Rest in peace.
