So sad to hear about Derek, he was always someone I looked up to when we were youngsters.
My condolences to Gillian and your family.

Very sad news about Derek. I was very involved as a City Councillor when Derek was instrumental, despite some opposition, in establishing the City Farm in Gloucester. He was also incredibly good with the children that helped there as volunteers and I am so grateful for all his work and help to my daughter, Amie-Jane O'Neill who worked there from age 22 and now works with animals as Manager at Pets at Home Gloucester. RIP Derek.

Derek was the most amazing man. I had the opportunity of working with him in 2010 he took me under his wing and I ended up calling him Papa. The most amazing kind man ever. Thinking of you Gill and Family.x
