On Sunday January 20th 2008 at the City Hospital, Stoke-On-Trent, John Edward Walker MBE, aged 86 years of Alton, the dearly loved husband of Helen and a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, formerly the Officer in Charge of C.S.O.S., Cheadle during the 1970's. A service of Thanksgiving for his long life will take place at St. Peter's Church, Alton on Tuesday January 29th at 2pm, this will be preceded by a private cremation, donations received in his memory will be shared between Cheadle Hospital and St. Peter's Church, Alton.
