Mike has been my tutor this year with the Open University. The knowledge and guidance Mike shared in his tutorials was always delivered with great warmth and good humour. But more than that, the support and understanding I received from Mike when loosing my own mother earlier this year provided much needed help and assurance. I am sorry I won't get the chance to thank him for that.
My deepest sympathies to Mike's family and friends at this terrible time.

Mike has been my tutor this year with The Open University. He was always supportive and helped me immensely with my studies. At times I really struggled and he was a great tutor, you could really tell he cared about his students. I will be forever grateful as I’m sure many other students will be. Thinking of his loved ones.

I met Mike several times in Harriet's house as he was walking kids and dogs to and fro. His relationship with his grandchildren was a total pleasure to see and in his family, he leaves a lasting legacy that is a total tribute to the man he was.
