ThomasWALSHThomas Walsh passed away peacefully on the morning of the 16th of November 2022. Son of the late Michael and Ellen Walsh. He was born in Galway Ireland on the 6th of February 1942. He grew up with six brothers, and one sister, sharing fun memories of them from his life to many people he met over the years. When he was 18, he moved over to the UK to start a new life. He became a very well-known character in the Irish community in the UK, he was lovingly known as Sauce Bottle. With a second home, being the Greyfriars pub in Nottingham, he made an impression on all the folks that came in, with his own seat near the door and a clock (with his grinning face on it) that made him part of the furniture. Father to 3 children to Josephine, Michael and Peter. He was a very proud father, grandfather and great granddad. He spoke of many times about his granddaughters and grandson to his family back in Ireland and his friends in the UK with great pride. Tommy's funeral will be held on the 23rd of December at 10:30am at St. Edwards Church, Gordon Road, St. Anns, Nottingham NG3 2LG. Then at 12:00 noon the proceedings will carry on to Wilford Hill, Loughborough Road for his burial. His wake will be held at the Greyfriars Club, Gordon Road afterwards. He is sadly missed and will never be forgotten. We will always love you dad xxx All enquiries: Coop Funeral Care 605 Mansfield Road Sherwood Nottingham NG5 2FW Telephone: 0115 9626403
