I'm really sorry to hear this. I'd been trying to get in touch with Pete since February, as I hadn't heard from him for a while. . That was unusual - we normally exchanged sometimes fractious emails about literature, art, spirituality, politics and love every month or so.
Can anyone tell me, please, about his death? Was it sudden? As you'll appreciate, the process of realising I hadn't had a response to several emails, ringing & finding his phone disconnected, & then, with a sinking feeling, checking obituary notices, wasn't a happy experience.
Pete was my former husband's best friend. I'd known him since he came down to London after graduating from Hull in the late '60s. Long time passing...
