Rev. Edward (Ted)WALTON(formerly of North Seaton and Bedlington) Peacefully on Monday 6th January, aged 93 years, Ted, beloved husband of the late Jean, a much loved uncle and a dear friend to many. Funeral Service in Trinity Church, Bedlington on Monday 27th January at 12.00 noon followed by interment in Bedlington Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Toby Henderson Trust c/o Jacob Conroy & Son, Fenwick House, 8 Manchester Street, Morpeth, NE61 1BH

Ted and I became pals when we joined the Church of Christ in Bedlington in our teens.
For several years we shared leadership of the church youth group, his special contribution being the writing of playlets for our concerts.
Ted started preaching when he was 17 years old and continued into his 80's, including the conduct of many wedding and funeral services.
He was generous with his time and money to those causes he took an interest in.
Truly a many talented servant of God.

Rev Ted Walton came into my life unexpectedly via Blue Star football club. From that day we became close friends and evening meal companions. Thankyou to the kindest, thoughtful and most generous man I have ever met. The angels will provide a guard of honour whenever you arrive. Love and miss you. Xx Anne Rivett.
