Our dear Uncle Ad, many happy memories we have of time spent together. We remember going to yours and uncle Rogers, we used to love you playing your guitar and then listen to the latest songs you had written. We remember going to Nanny and Pa's and Nanny would do corn beef sandwiches which she thought we liked but we didn’t, and you said "pretend to like them for Nanny sweetheart," so we did and used to eat them and pretend they were lovely!! We remember laughing a lot when you were around, always making us feel loved and happy.
We remember when Dear Uncle Burn died, we were 8 at the time, it must have been so hard for you to lose your brother. Something later on we endured when we lost our dear brother Stephen, your Nephew, many years later. You were so so supportive at that time and really understood and your love enveloped us. You wrote a song for Stephen, 'Only The Good Die Young ', it was beautiful and we are forever grateful for the song you wrote from your heart. You expressed yourself through your music a talent you and uncle burn shared, and we know it brought you so much joy.
The later years we didn’t have so much contact, family issues and all it comes with stopped that. We are so sorry for that Uncle Ad, as you are very special to us and very loved, we hope you know that. Reunited with your beloved Roger and your sisters, brother and mum and Dad, we hope you are having a singalong up there and feel nothing but peace in your heart. We love you lots and lots our dear Uncle xxxx
