DerekWARREN(Newcastle Upon Tyne) Our hearts are filled with extreme sadness and grief as we announce the sudden passing of Derek Warren in the early hours of Sunday 20th August after a short illness. Founder of Warren Access, but also a beloved husband of Norma. Much loved dad of Kristine, Graeme and Stephen. Loving father in law of Michelle. Treasured grandad of Tasmyn, Kieran and Ethan. Derek was also a dear friend of many and will be sadly missed. It is quite unthinkable that only three months ago, Derek was receiving his Civic award in Alnwick and we were celebrating the 30th birthday of Warren Access. Sadly he has been taken from us at the age of 83 years. The world has lost a wonderful man and it will never be the same again. Anyone that knew Derek will agree that he was a selfless, true gentleman who made an impression on everyone he met. Would all please meet for Requiem Mass at St Wilfred's Catholic Church, Blyth, on Friday 1st September at 11.15am followed by cremation at Cowpen Crematorium at 12.15pm. Family flowers only please but donations gratefully received on behalf of MacMillan Nurses a collection box will be available following the service. All welcome afterwards to a venue to be announced at the service. He will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten, rest in peace Derek. All enquiries c/o Clark Pearson Funeral Directors, 2 Baroness Drive, Denton Burn, NE15 7AT. Tel 0191-2744373.

Derrick was such a lovely man who I had the pleasure to work with occasionally for Daft as a Brush.
He was always smiling, such a true gentleman, Derrick was a big miss to all the volunteers when he left DAAB.
RIP lovely man 💙
