John CliffordWATERSLong and eventful innings of 83 years came to a close on 27th December 2022 after a short illness. Born in Bristol on 2nd January 1939. John was a loving and devoted husband to the late Cheryl Waters (nee Horseman), brother to Geoff, father to Nick and Julie and grandfather to Aiden, James and Frances. A graduate of QEH School and Accountant by profession, John will perhaps be best remembered in the community for his tireless dedication to promoting youth cricket at Nailsea Cricket Club, North Somerset Youth Cricket League and across the county for more than three decades. John travelled widely and will be deeply missed by family and friends in the UK and further afield, particularly in Hong Kong. May he rest in peace in the great pavilion in the sky. A funeral service will be held at South Bristol Crematorium on Monday 23rd January at 10.30am.
