Robert JohnWATKINSIt is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Robert John Watkins on October 2nd, 2024. He is survived by his brothers, Matthew and Simon, his sister-in-law Sabina and his nieces Emma & Ashlynn. Robert was a talented Senior Software Developer whose passion for technology was matched only by his love for gaming and history. An avid player of Dungeons & Dragons and a skilled painter of Warhammer miniatures, he cherished the time spent with friends and family engaged in these beloved hobbies. Robert will be deeply missed by all of his family, friends and the family dogs - Oreo, Maddy and Blossom, who brought much joy to his life. Robert will be resting at J Pidgeon & Son (539 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff CF5 1BD) until the funeral, which will be held at Wenallt Chapel at Thornhill Crematorium (Thornhill Rd, Thornhill, Cardiff CF14 9UA) on Tuesday 22nd October 2024 at 14:30. A Celebration of Life will be held following this at Manor Parc Hotel (Thornhill Rd, Thornhill CF14 9UA). The family requests that funeral attire is not necessary and to wear what is comfortable. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations to be made to either Cadw or National Trust.
