When I sang in the choir at Washington Grammar School, Bob was the accompanist. He was a lovely person, always pleasant and complimentary with never a bad word for anyone. Many decades later, when I found him again on the school history website, he promptly sent me CDs of a school concert and Carol service in which I had taken part. It was so very kind of him and I shall always treasure these. May he rest in peace.

Pam Vernon, nee Gascoigne.
