George FrederickWATSONPassed away peacefully on Tuesday March 24th 2026, aged 86 years.

A devoted husband to Jessie, who he adored. A loving father to Jeanette and Graham and a loving and devoted grandfather to John, David, Alexander, Gregory and Jill.

"Gramps" grew up on a farm in Kent before meeting his wife Jessie whilst serving in the Royal Air Force. Moving to Liverpool, he later served in the Parachute Regiment with pride. Always full of jokes, humour and energy, and could often be found engrossed in his passion for gardening.

The world, not just our family, has lost a truly remarkable man. The last of a generation of true gentlemen who was loved and will be revered by all. All around the country people knew him. A trip to the shops was guaranteed to be met by "Alright George". We have lost such an incredible man - our hearts only mended by knowing Jessie and George are back together and reunited with their beloved daughter Jeanette.

We will truly, truly miss you and everything you brought to our world.

Funeral to take place on Friday 1st May at Bootle Cemetery at 11.00am.

Donations if desired to the Wildlife Trust RSPB.
