StephenWATSONWe are heartbroken to announce the passing of Steve Watson at the age of 67 years.

Steve passed away at home with his family by his side on the 1st October 2026, following a long battle with cancer.

Devoted husband to Debbie, much loved father of Becki and John and elder brother to Paul, Karen and Denise.

Steve was truly one of a kind who always kept his sense of humour and will be very greatly missed by all his friends and family.

A service will be held at Our Lady of Walsingham, RC Church, Netherton at 10.45am on Friday 23rd October, followed by a cremation at Thornton Crematorium.

Family flowers only please by request, but if desired, donations in memory of Steve would be gratefully received by

Woodlands Hospice.

I count Steve as one of my best mates having known him for over 50 years. He was one of life’s chief organisers. Any event, function or sporting occasion then it was Steve who organised it I played football, cricket and basketball over the years and it didn’t matter what we played he never liked to lose a trait that never eased over the years.
I will miss him dearly particularly our chats latterly over the weekends football results.
My thoughts are with Debbie,Becki and John at this very difficult time
RIP Steve
