WATTSDerrett and Audrey The family are deeply saddened to announce that both our parents, Mr. Derrett Simpson Watts and Mrs. Audrey Watts, aged 85 years and 82 years respectively, of Newcastle-under-Lyme, passed away, following a road traffic accident, at Alderley Edge on Friday 3rd November 2017. We loved them dearly, they will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew them. We are so thankful that The Lord took them to be with Him swiftly, and that they are together with Him, which is far better. A private service will take place on Monday 4th December 2017 at The Gospel Hall, Trent Vale followed by interment at Newcastle Cemetery (family only). A Service of Thanksgiving will then take place later that day at Newcastle Baptist Church, Stafford Avenue, Clayton, ST5 3BN at 2.15pm in memory of Derrett and Audrey where all family and friends are most welcome. In lieu of floral tributes donations are preferred to support Missionary Work in Ethiopia and Renewal North West (Christian Charity in Stockport). Enquiries to: CO-OPERATIVE FUNERALCARE 1 Park Avenue, Wolstanton. Telephone 711244 / 315238 / 838724

Mr. Watts was one of my deputy heads at school. I'll always remember his kindly smile and appreciate why he was so strict (at the time), but was always generous with me whenever we spoke. He instilled a moral ethic that I have carried with me in mylife and I never got to say thank you, so I am now.

To the family of Mr & Mrs Watts, I am truly sorry for your sad loss. I never knew them but how sad that you lost both your mum and dad in a tragic accident. My heart goes out to you all. I am thinking of you all. . When I read this piece it brought tears in my eyes
