For Our Little Nan, Mary
To the world, you were Mary.
But to us, you were simply our little Nan.
You may have been little in size, but your personality was anything but. Your love, your strength, your humour, and your feisty spirit could light up any room. You had a way of making everyone feel loved, and that’s something we’ll carry with us forever.
As your grandchildren, we were so lucky to have you in our lives, and even luckier to call you our little Nan.
Nan, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for every smile, every cuddle, every laugh, and every story. Thank you for always making us feel safe, loved, and special. The memories you’ve given us are some of the greatest gifts we will ever receive, and I will treasure them for the rest of my life.
Although we can no longer hold your hand, we’ll carry your love with us every single day. You’ll be in our hearts, in our stories, and in the little moments that remind us of you.
For me and my Meg, you’ve been our greatest blessing. You’ve given us the happiest memories, the biggest hugs, and a love that will stay with us forever. We will miss you every day, but we’ll always be grateful that you were ours.
Nan, if I could tell you one last thing, it would simply be this…
Thank you for being our little Nan.
You were, and always will be, Simply the Best little Nan anyone could ever ask for.
Now it’s time for you to rest peacefully, reunited with our loving Grandad. I like to think he’s been waiting for you with open arms, and that together you’re smiling down on all of us.
Until we meet again, good night, God bless, sleep tight, Marie & Meg xxxx
