ThyrzaWENNI loved our chats, our setting the world to rights and trips down memory lane over restaurant meals, cups of tea and your home-made bara brith. Or strolling with a well-loved poodle. Or admiring the plants and shrubs in your garden and watching the birds gathering around the feeders. They are treasured moments with a lovely, funny, intelligent, inspirational, strong-minded lady. I will miss you Thyrza x

To family and friends of Thryza:
We are so sorry not to be able to join to to celebrate Thyrza's wonderful life on the 11th, given international travel restrictions. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I still remember the first day I arrived in Nottingham and rang Thryza to see about a renting a room in her home. That was September 1987, and I shared with her many joyful memories of Operatic Society productions, Philarmonic concerts, and day trips to Derbyshire in the 2 years I lived with her and the many visits I made back to Nottingham over the past 30+ years. She is a dear friend and I am very sorry to hear news of her passing.
Love and virtual hugs to all.
Mary Ingraham (her 'Canadian student') and David Owen
