Peter JohnWETTONIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter John Wetton, who passed away peacefully at Manor House Nursing Home on Wednesday 5th August 2026. Peter was a well-known and respected local farmer who devoted much of his life to farming. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his loving family and many friends.

A service to celebrate Peter's life will take place at St James' Church, Acton Trussell, on Friday 21st August 2026 at 11:30am, followed by a private burial in the Church grounds.

Family flowers only, please. Donations in Peter's memory are warmly welcomed for Katharine House Hospice.

Peter was a lovely man who was funny, sensitive, caring and very good company. I feel very fortunate to have known him. He leaves many wonderful memories. My condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Peter.
