I was saddened to hear of Rob’s passing. I knew Rob from Shell and we socialised in a group of friends from the Shell badminton club on many occasions. I lost contact with him when I left Shell and he moved to Aberdeen. I was heart broken to hear that he was only 61. But I know that he led a full life and was a happy person, always smiling. Members of the Shell badminton club have toasted and celebrated hislife. Julie Barnham

I've partnered Rob at quite a few matches at Granite City badminton club. He was a gent, always had a smile. What I'll miss most is his good humour and wit(often self deprecating). Our condolences from GCBC. John P
