Patricia WinefrideWHEATLEY(Formerly Whitehead, née Flaherty) Died peacefully on 20th March 2022 in hospital, aged 77 years. Dearly loved mother of Martin, Stephen and Jon. Sister of the late Paul. Wonderful partner and wife to Phil for 43 years. Mother-in-law to Philippa, Elaine and Esther. Grandma to Charlotte, Bernadette, Juliette, Michael, Daniel and Miren. Auntie and Cousin. Friend to many. Known as 'Trisha' to those who first knew her, always 'Trish' to her brother Paul, and as 'Pat' most recently. Devoted teacher at St Joseph's RC Middle School, Broadfield, Falinge Park and Balderstone High Schools. She will live long in the hearts of family, friends, former colleagues and pupils. A service to celebrate Pat's life, open to those of all beliefs and none, will be held at 12 noon Monday 11th April 2022 at St Vincent de Paul RC Church, Norden, Rochdale. Socially distanced seating will be available in some areas of the church. Personal choice about mask wearing. A private committal will then take place at Rochdale Cemetery. Family & friends are invited to join for refreshments at Rochdale Sports Club (Rochdale Cricket Club), Redbrook, OL11 5BX. Family flowers only please.
